How to Use the Fish It Calculator

Add the fish you caught, enter its weight and select any applicable mutation or special variant. The calculator uses the information you provide to estimate its value.

1. Choose Fish Value for a catch estimate or Catch Chance for a fishing odds projection.
2. Select or enter the fish name and the current value or odds information you want to use.
3. Enter the catch weight, reference weight, rarity factor, mutation factor, and quantity where applicable.
4. Review the unit value, total value, adjusted odds, expected casts, and visible formula before comparing results.

Select Your Fish

Choose Fish Value to enter a fish name directly, or open Catch Chance to select a rare-fish reference preset. The preset odds are editable so you can replace them with the current information you trust.

Enter the Weight

Add the fish's current weight and the reference weight used by the calculation. The tool turns those two numbers into a visible weight factor instead of hiding the adjustment.

Select Mutations

If the fish has a mutation or special variant, select the matching preset or enter your own mutation factor before calculating. A factor of 1 leaves the base value unchanged.

Check the Estimated Value

Review the calculated result and use it to compare different catches. The result is an arithmetic estimate from your inputs, not a guaranteed market or sale price.

How Are Fish It Values Calculated?

Fish value can depend on several factors rather than the fish name alone. Weight, rarity, mutations, and special variants may all affect the estimated value.

Weight factor = (entered weight / reference weight) raised to the weight response you enter. The calculator brings these details together so you can check a catch without manually working through each factor.

Weight is an important part of calculating the value of a fish. Two fish of the same type may have different estimated values when their weights are different.

Enter the actual weight of your catch and the reference weight for a typical fish of that type. A weight response of 1 gives a linear adjustment; higher or lower values let you model a stronger or weaker response.

Fish It Mutations

Mutations can change the value of a fish and make certain catches more valuable than their standard versions. Choose a preset to fill the factor or enter the exact multiplier you use.

Keep the mutation factor separate from rarity and weight so the result shows which input caused the change. If a catch has no mutation or special variant, leave the factor at 1.

Fish It Rarity & Catch Value

Rarity can help explain why some catches are worth more than others. Common fish and rare fish can have very different base values, while weight and mutations can further change the result.

Catch Chance uses a 1-in-X odds input. Selecting a rare-fish preset fills the fish name and the displayed reference odds, which you can edit. Luck and casting inputs then produce an adjusted odds estimate, expected casts, and the chance of at least one catch across the casts you enter.
