Blox Fruits First Sea Leveling Tips: How to Level Up Faster

Blox Fruits Walkthrough format Published 2026-09-14

Getting through the First Sea in Blox Fruits can feel slow if you keep fighting random enemies or put your stat points in too many different places.

You do not need a rare fruit or a complicated build to level up quickly. A good fruit, the right quests, and a simple stat setup can make the early game much faster.

Here are some useful First Sea leveling tips that can save you a lot of time.

Use Light or Ice If You Can

If you have the choice, Light is one of the best fruits for First Sea grinding.

The biggest reason is not just its damage. Light also gives you very useful movement abilities, making it much easier to travel between islands and get back to quest areas. This matters a lot in First Sea because you spend a surprising amount of time moving between enemies and quest givers.

Current leveling guides also recommend Light for First Sea grinding, with Ice and Blade being useful lower-level alternatives.

Ice is another good option. Its abilities are useful for controlling enemies, and it can make early fights easier if you are still learning how to group NPCs together.

Do not worry if you cannot get Light, though.

Blade is a good early-game fallback

Blade, formerly known as Chop, is easy to underestimate.

It is not the fruit you need to chase if you already have Light or another strong grinding option, but it can be useful when you are starting out and do not have many choices.

The important thing is to use a fruit that lets you kill your current quest enemies quickly rather than constantly wasting time trying to roll for a perfect fruit.

Follow Quests Instead of Randomly Farming NPCs

One of the easiest ways to waste time in First Sea is killing enemies without an active quest.

Whenever possible, accept the quest for the enemies you are going to fight. You get the enemy EXP and the quest reward at the same time.

The early progression is straightforward:

Starter Island → Jungle → Pirate Village → Desert → Frozen Village → Marine Fortress → Prison → Underwater City → Upper Skylands → Fountain City

The exact point where you move to the next area depends on your level and how quickly you can kill the enemies there.

For example, Jungle quests start very early, followed by Pirate Village, Desert and Frozen Village. The quest system gives you a clear progression through First Sea rather than requiring you to randomly search for stronger NPCs.

A simple rule works well:

If you can complete the next area's quest quickly, move there. If the enemies take too long to kill, stay where you are for a little longer.

You do not have to move immediately just because you reached the recommended level.

Do Not Spread Your Stats Everywhere

This is one of the biggest beginner mistakes.

Blox Fruits gives you several damage stats, including Melee, Sword, Gun, Blox Fruit and Defense. Each one improves a different part of your build.

That does not mean you should put points into all of them.

If you are using Light, for example, putting most of your damage points into Blox Fruit makes much more sense than splitting them between Blox Fruit, Sword and Gun.

You should also invest in Melee and Defense because they give you more Energy and Health.

A simple early-game setup is:

  • Main damage stat: Blox Fruit if you are using a fruit
  • Melee: enough for Energy
  • Defense: enough to survive comfortably
  • Sword/Gun: leave them low unless you are actually using them as your main damage source

The current stats guide similarly recommends focusing on Melee and Defense together with one main damage stat rather than spreading points across every weapon type.

Do Not Rush Into Sword or Gun Builds

This does not mean swords and guns are bad.

They can become very strong later in the game.

The problem is using them as your only source of damage when you are still trying to level through First Sea.

Sword and Gun builds usually become more comfortable when you have better equipment and a clearer build. For a new player, a good fruit or fighting style is generally easier to use for grinding.

If you really like swords, you can still use one.

Just avoid splitting your limited stat points between Sword, Gun and Blox Fruit at the same time.

Use Bosses as a Bonus, Not Your Whole Leveling Strategy

This is where the common First Sea leveling advice needs some context.

Bosses can give much better rewards than normal enemies, and server hopping for bosses can be useful when you want extra EXP, Money or Mastery.

But you should not assume that every boss is automatically the fastest way to level.

For example, current guides specifically note that the Vice Admiral and Warden became less efficient for grinding after Update 30.

So instead of doing this:

“I am stuck, so I will kill Vice Admiral for the next hour.”

Try this:

Take your normal quest → clear the nearby enemies → check whether the boss is available → kill it if it is convenient → continue your quest route.

If a boss is already spawned and you can defeat it quickly, great.

If you have to spend several minutes waiting, traveling, or repeatedly dying, go back to normal quest grinding.

The goal is EXP per minute, not the biggest EXP number from a single kill.

Get Better Movement Early

Movement can make First Sea leveling much faster.

As you progress, abilities such as Air Jump and other movement tools make it easier to travel between islands and position yourself during fights. Current First Sea guides recommend getting useful movement and combat abilities early rather than ignoring them.

This is another reason Light is so useful.

A fruit that saves you several seconds every time you travel between a quest giver and a grinding area can save a lot of time over hundreds of quests.

Group Enemies Instead of Fighting Them One by One

Once you accept a quest, do not automatically attack the first NPC you see.

Try to bring nearby enemies together and hit several of them with the same attack.

This is especially useful when your fruit has area damage.

For example:

Accept quest → gather nearby NPCs → use an AoE attack → finish the group → repeat.

You will usually gain EXP faster than chasing individual enemies around the island.

Just do not gather more enemies than you can safely handle.

Dying and having to travel back to the island is one of the easiest ways to erase the time you saved.

Get Saber When You Can

Saber is worth picking up during First Sea if you plan to use a sword at all.

The Saber puzzle becomes available around Level 200, and current First Sea guides recommend obtaining it because it is a strong early sword.

Even if you mainly use a fruit, having a good sword available can be useful for experimenting with different builds and completing other First Sea content.

You do not need to completely change your stats just because you obtained it.

The Fastest First Sea Mindset

You do not need to constantly search for a secret trick to level quickly.

The basic loop is simple:

Get a good grinding fruit → accept the highest useful quest → group enemies → kill them quickly → turn in the quest → move to the next efficient area.

Use bosses when they are convenient, not because you feel forced to farm them.

And most importantly, do not spread your stats across every weapon.

For most beginners, a Blox Fruit + Melee + Defense setup is much easier to manage than trying to level Sword, Gun and Fruit at the same time.

Final Tip

If you only remember three things from this guide, remember these:

Use Light or Ice if you can.

Always grind with a quest whenever possible.

Focus your stats instead of putting points into everything.

These three changes alone can make the First Sea feel much faster, even if you are playing with a basic account and do not have an expensive fruit.
