MECCHA CHAMELEON supports custom maps through the Steam Workshop. Simply subscribe to maps from the Workshop, restart the game if necessary, then create a server and select the downloaded map from the map list.
Why Are My Custom Maps Missing?
Many new players create a lobby and only see the default maps. This is normal because custom maps are downloaded separately through the Steam Workshop.
If you haven't subscribed to any Workshop maps, the game won't display additional maps in the Create Server menu.
Step 2: Open the Steam Workshop
On the main menu, look for the green MAPS button in the bottom-right corner.
Clicking it opens the official Steam Workshop page for MECCHA CHAMELEON.
Here you'll find hundreds of community-created maps ranging from realistic houses to meme-inspired levels.
Step 3: Find Popular Maps
To find quality maps quickly, sort by:
- Most Popular
- Most Subscribed
- Top Rated
- Recent
These filters usually surface the best-designed maps with fewer bugs.
Step 4: Subscribe to a Map
Open any map you like and click the large green Subscribe button.
Steam will automatically add the map to your account and begin downloading it.
You don't need to manually copy files or install mods.
Step 5: Restart the Game (If Needed)
Sometimes Steam doesn't immediately download Workshop content while the game is running.
If your subscribed map doesn't appear:
- Close MECCHA CHAMELEON completely.
- Restart Steam if necessary.
- Launch the game again.
For many players, this instantly fixes the issue.
Step 6: Create a Server
After reopening the game:
- Select Create Server.
- Open the Map selection menu.
- Your subscribed Workshop maps should now appear alongside the default maps.
Simply choose one and start the lobby.
