After years of waiting, Slayers 2 is finally live on Roblox.
The sequel to Project Slayers officially launched on September 18, 2026, bringing a new open-world RPG, new progression systems, Breathing Styles, Blood Demon Arts, weapons, clans, and a fresh character progression system. The official release event was hosted by Ouw Productions.
If you played the original Project Slayers, there is plenty here that will look familiar. But Slayers 2 is not simply the old game with a new map.
Slayers 2 Has Finally Released
The public release happened on September 18 after an early-access period.
The game is developed by Ouw Productions, the same developer behind the original Project Slayers.
You enter an anime-inspired open world, build your character, complete quests, fight enemies, collect equipment, and decide whether you want to become a Slayer or follow the Demon path.
The new game is built around a more detailed RPG system, so there is more to think about as your character gets stronger.
Choose Between Slayer and Demon
One of the biggest parts of Slayers 2 is choosing which side you want to follow.
If you become a Slayer, you can work toward different Breathing Styles and Slayer weapons.
The game currently offers 8 Breathing Styles and 3 Slayer weapons.
The Demon route works differently.
Demons have access to 9 Blood Demon Arts and 7 Demon weapons, giving them their own progression and combat options.
This means your first character choice can affect how you play the game later.
You do not have to rush the decision, either. The early game gives you time to explore the world and understand the basic systems before you get deep into your build.
A New Character Progression System
Slayers 2 also gives players more control over how their characters develop.
As you level up, you earn skill points that can be spent on different parts of your skill tree.
This gives you more room to create a build that fits how you like to play.
For example, you can put more focus into movement, combat abilities, or other parts of your character instead of simply following one fixed upgrade path.
This is one of the biggest differences for players coming from the original Project Slayers.
The game still has grinding, but there are more decisions behind that grind.
Combat Keeps the Project Slayers Feel
If you played the original game, the combat should feel familiar.
Slayers 2 uses normal and heavy attacks, dashes, sprinting, wall climbing and mouse lock.
The game also includes different combo inputs, including air and special combos.
That means combat is not just about clicking an enemy until it disappears.
Movement matters, especially when you are fighting stronger enemies or other players.
PvP is also part of the new game's design, so learning the combat system early can save you a lot of trouble later.
The World Is Built for Exploration
Another major part of Slayers 2 is its larger world.
Instead of simply moving from one small quest area to another, players can explore different villages, forests and other locations while looking for trainers, enemies, resources and equipment.
This makes traveling part of the game.
At first, you may spend a lot of time simply trying to figure out where everything is.
Once you learn the map, moving around becomes much easier, and you can start planning your routes instead of wandering around looking for an NPC.
There Are a Lot of Items to Find
The launch version already has a large item pool.
Current guides have documented 75 unique items, including weapons, accessories and utility items. These can come from bosses, chests, shops and other activities.
This gives you another reason to explore instead of only following the main quest.
You might find an item that improves your build, gives you a better weapon, or becomes useful for a later upgrade.
The item system is also likely to become a major part of the trading and build discussions as more players reach the endgame.
What Should New Players Do First?
If you are starting Slayers 2 for the first time, do not worry about getting the perfect build immediately.
Start by learning the basic controls and completing the early quests.
Get used to:
- Normal and heavy attacks
- Dashing
- Wall climbing
- Sprinting
- The skill tree
- Quest tracking
- The map
Once you understand those systems, you can start working toward the Slayer or Demon build you actually want.
And before you start grinding, check the latest Slayers 2 codes. Some launch codes can give you Spins, Wen, Refinement Ore and even a Skill Point reset.
Slayers 2 Is Still Very New
One thing new players should remember is that Slayers 2 has only just launched.
That means some information is still changing.
Guides are being updated as players discover new items, NPC locations, requirements and mechanics. Even current item databases note that some information is still unconfirmed because the game is so new.
There have also been reports of technical problems affecting some players, including asset-loading issues in parts of the Middle East.
So if something does not work exactly as expected, it may be a launch issue rather than something you are doing wrong.
What Happens Next?
The interesting part about Slayers 2 is that the launch is only the beginning.
Players are still discovering the best clans, Breathing Styles, Demon Arts, weapons and skill builds.
The official Slayers 2 community also lists updates, sneak peeks, codes and other game information, so there should be plenty of new content to follow after launch.
For now, the best thing you can do is start exploring, learn the combat system and avoid spending all your resources before you understand your build.
Slayers 2 has finally arrived, and the next few weeks should show which builds and progression routes become the most popular with the Roblox community.
